Fall Colors at the Cross

On Saturday and Sunday, October 19 and 20, 2024, Bald Knob Cross of Peace will host their annual Fall Colors at the Cross. The event provides an opportunity to gather at one of the world’s largest crosses and enjoy the beauty of the region. The event will be hosted from 10am-5pm on Saturday and 1pm-5pm on Sunday. The event includes vendors, food trucks, and various family activities. Entry fee will be $5 donation per car, with donations at the gate.
We will have bounce houses, face painting, balloon animals and other family activities. Join us for lunch, with food from Big Nate’s BBQ and the Cross including Chili, Chili Cheese Dogs and Hot Dogs. And don’t forget to get a family picture on one of our fall themed photo sets, with the breathtaking scenery in the background. Fall Colors will be the perfect time to take a trip up and check out all the exciting upgrades we have completed in the last few months.
On Saturday we will welcome Nashville recording artist, Marty DeRoche at 1pm. Bring a lawn chair and join us for lunch and music.
Bald Knob Cross of Peace is arguably the best location in the entire Midwest to view fall colors. It is the second highest point in Southern Illinois with a 270 degree view for miles over old growth timber.
