Thursday night Herrin's school board hired Stephanie Allen as their next athletic director, marking the first time the Herrin Athletic Department will be headed up by a woman.  Herrin Superintendent Nathaniel Wilson and outgoing Athletic Director Andrew Anderson spoke with John Homan about the decision:

Sportsvoice welcomed in Carterville boy's soccer star Caleb Knight, who is the program's first to sign with a college - the University of Evansville.

The Murphysboro Red Devils went to Harrisburg in Week 7 and proved they are exactly who everyone thought they were, taking the Bulldogs down 40-0.  Matt Varney talked with Red Devils coach Gary Carter about that win and Friday night's huge game against Carterville.
