Murphysboro athletic director Len Novara is getting ready for retirement at the end of the 2023-24 school year. He and Matt Varney sat down and talked about the Red Devil football program and how things have changed in his 23 years as Murphysboro AD.
John A. Logan Softball coach Taylor Siefert joined the program Tuesday to talk about her team and their 10-4 start to the year!
John A. Logan women's basketball coach Charlie Jones met with Matt Varney on Friday morning and talked about the two new commitments to the Logan program. He also updated Benton product Ensley Tedeschi's injury status and talked about moving practice to a new time in the day.
The Johnston City Indians had to fight for a win over #14 Auburn last week but they came out on top 16-8. Now they're headed to #11 Breese (Mater Dei) this Saturday, a team that presents a lot of problems. Matt Varney and head coach of the Indians, Todd Thomas, discussed both games and solutions to the Breese Mater Dei Knights.
