Thursday night Herrin's school board hired Stephanie Allen as their next athletic director, marking the first time the Herrin Athletic Department will be headed up by a woman. John A. Logan men's basketball coach Tyler Smithpeters joined the program on Tuesday night. He talked with Mike Murphy and Dave McKenzie about starting the program's first-ever title defense, the several new faces in the program, and more.
Monday night was Herrin Girls Basketball's first game back from a COVID pause. The Tigers beat Murphysboro 59-24 behind a career-best 26 from Presli Karnes.
