JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – The National Weather Service now says that severe weather that moved through the region last week produced a tornado in Jefferson County.

No injuries were reported during Thursday night’s storm. Several trees were uprooted and some metal buildings received roof damage.

The National Weather Service says the EF-1 tornado produced peak winds of 90 miles per hour and stayed on the ground for approximately half a mile.
