CHRISTOPHER, Ill. (WJPF) – A Christopher man has been convicted of sexually assaulting a child.

Prosecutors say Douglas Carpenter, 73, abused the child in December of 2020. The child told their mom what had happened. Mom told the police.

Sentencing will be scheduled at a later date.
