CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – A Carbondale man was arrested after police found a stolen gun and drugs inside his home.

Carbondale Police say they were asked Wednesday night to accompany an individual retrieving items from a home they shared on West Mill Street with 28-year-old Alex Settles.

While inside the home, the individual who requested police assistance led officer to a gun, owned by Settles, that had been reported stolen. Police also found a stun gun, suspected narcotics, and an illegal amount of cannabis.

Alex Settles was taken to jail for charges including possession of a stolen gun and possession of over 30 grams of cannabis. Police say more charges are pending.
