The Du Quoin Indians basketball team found their next head coach on Wednesday night, hiring Webster McGuire to lead them in the 2023-24 season.

“I played with Webster in High School in Du Quoin,” Du Quoin athletic director Derek Beard said following the hire.  “He is a great guy and I’m looking forward to having him back at DHS.”

McGuire was most recently at Carbondale Middle School.  He was also the head coach of the Murphysboro Girls’ Basketball team from 2018 – 2020.  McGuire collected a 16-41 record while coaching the Red Devils.
