SIU Softball played at Missouri State Wednesday afternoon.  The Salukis took a 4-3 loss, dropping to 30-14 on the season and 11-10 in the Valley.  But history was still made.

Freshman Infielder Jackie Lis hit three home runs in a game for the second time this season in the loss.  The first homer marked her 13th of the year, setting a new freshman home runs record.  The second tied the program record for home runs in a season and the third set a new record at 15 home runs.

Lis and the Salukis return home Friday for their final home series of the season to host Murray State.  Friday’s game at Charlotte West Stadium begins at 4 p.m.
