Three men have been found guilty in a Carbondale Shooting.

28 year old Demarcus Jones, 29 year old Charleton Patterson, and 29 year old Simeon Patterson, all of Carbondale, were found guilty on multiple gun related charges on Monday, after a two week jury trial. The shooting happened on April 30th, 2022.

Police had responded to the 100 block of North Washington for a reported shooting where they found a large crowd and learned multiple people had fired shots.

On May 1st, 2022, Jones and Patterson were arrested after their vehicle was pulled over,  leading officers to find two firearms in the vehicle that were eventually connected to the shooting.

Simeon Patterson was later arrested on May 10th.

Charleton Patterson and Jones were charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.

Simeon Patterson was charged with reckless discharge of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.

The jury found the defendants guilty on a total of 13 felony counts.
