Illinois State Police are investigating a four vehicle fatal traffic crash in Saline County.

The crash happened Thursday, September 1st around 4:45pm on US Route 45 southbound at Feazel Road in Harrisburg.

The investigation indicated a 2016 Ram truck driven by 50 year old Michael Woolley of Texas, was traveling southbound when for unknown reasons he swerved into the northbound lane. 

He sideswiped two vehicles, before hitting a third vehicle head on. Woolley was pronounced deceased at a local hospital.

The vehicle hit head on, a 1991 Kenworth trailer was driven by 35 year old Tony King of Indiana. He was flown to a regional hospital for life threatening injuries.

The drivers of the other two vehicles, 71 year old Christopher Price of Arkansas, and 44 year old Elizabeth Cooley-Questelle of Harrisburg, were both uninjured. The crash remains under investigation.
