A semi trailer filled with hydrochloric acid crashed into a ditch Sunday on Interstate 24.

Police said the semi crashed into several cars. The tanker became detached from the truck and fell into a ditch. Hazmat teams removed the tanker, which did not leak.

In another accident on the interstate, police say a Georgia woman, 47-year-old Kim Lamb, was eastbound in the right lane when she lost control and ran into a guard rail. She veered into the semi’s trailer, sliding underneath it. She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The truck driver, Gabriel Sparrow, was not injured.
