The John A. Logan College baseball and softball programs received a large donation from the Harrison Bruce Foundation on Thursday morning. The donation will go to the construction of a brand new player development center, located between the two teams' fields. Matt Varney caught up with Vols baseball coach Kyle Surprenant after the check presentation.

Murphybsoro Basketball coach Daryl Murphy reached 500 wins at Murphysboro on Monday with a 60-27 win over Steeleville. All-time, Murphy has 544 wins on his career. Hear what Coach Murphy had to say after reaching that milestone:
After an 11-2 season and just the program's third semifinal appearance, the Murphysboro Red Devils were selected as the John A. Logan College Team of the Year. The Red Devils walked in to the year knowing they would have an elite defense but had question marks all over the offensive side of the ball.
