CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — Carbondale Police are investigating a shooting that sent one person to the hospital.
CPD says it happened at about 8:45 p.m. Thursday in the 500 block of South Beveridge Street.
According to police, the suspect fired multiple shots. A woman was hit by one of them, receiving a non-life threatening wound. She was taken to the hospital by an acquaintance. Police say after the shooting a silver dour-door car was seen leaving the scene. Police believe the shooting was not random and the suspect and the victim knew each other.
