CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WJPF) — One person was arrested following a police chase through Williamson County.

The incident started around 7:00 p.m. Wednesday when Crainville Police tried to make a traffic stop, but the driver sped away.

The driver led police on chase through parts of Crainville, Carterville, and onto Route 13.

The chase finally ended at the Bank of Herrin’s Carterville location.

The driver has not been identified. No injuries were reported.
