LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Ky. (WJPF) — A West Frankfort man is dead, a Herrin man missing after their boat capsized near the Smithland Lock and Dam on the Ohio River.

The pair went into the water around 11:30 a.m. Thursday after their jon boat became caught in a current and was pulled into rough, fast moving water near the dam.

Around 10:00 p.m., the deceased was identified at 60-year-old Kenneth Duncan of West Frankfort. The Herrin man, who has not been identified, is still missing. The search will continue Friday
