MARION, IL. (WJPF) – Services for former Marion Mayor Bob Butler begin Monday.

Butler will lie in state at the Marion Cultural and Civic Center from 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM. Additional time for visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

At 1:30 PM Tuesday, there will be a formal memorial service, also at the civic center.

The City of Marion offices will close at 1:00 PM Tuesday for the service. They’ll re-open for normal business on and Wednesday.
