Harrisburg has a new interim Chief of Police.

Assistant Chief Michael Riden was appointed to fill the role until a permanent replacement can be found.

Chief David Morris announced his resignation earlier this week. Morris will become a resource officer for the Harrisburg Unit 3 School District.
