Benton boys basketball coach Ron Winemiller collected his 300th win as the head coach of the Benton Rangers Saturday evening following a 72-64 win over Goreville.

The game was for the Goreville Invitational Tournament’s Championship game.

The Rangers improve to 5-0 on the season.  Winemiller is 341-204 in his career that has seen him coach at also Zeigler-Royalton and Forreston, Kentucky.

Winemiller has coached the Rangers since 2009 and has gone 300-166, including a second-place finish at the IHSA State Finals last season.

The Rangers return to the court on Friday night when they open conference action at Du Quoin.
