The Benton Rangers remain atop the John A. Logan College Little Egypt Football Poll after another dominant victory in Week 2 (56-0 over Salem). They have the game of the week at home this week when they host #4 Murphysboro, who moved into the Top 5 after a 59-7 win over Anna-Jonesboro last week.
Mt. Vernon and Carbondale swapped spots in this week’s poll after the Rams picked up a 31-20 victory over the Terriers.
Meanwhile, Nashville fell four spots to #8 following 20-16 loss to unranked Carterville. The Lions’ victory pushed them back in to the Top 10 to #9.
Chester continues to impress following a 56-6 win over Pinckneyville, moving from #10 to #7.
