JACKSON COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – A Marion man is dead after a crash in Jackson County.

On April 29th around 8:30am, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a single vehicle crash near the intersection of Elkville road and Coffer Road in Vergennes.

A tan 2002 pickup driven by 27 year old Hunter Lincoln, was traveling eastbound when the vehicle left the roadway, collided with a ditch and overturned. 

Lincoln was pronounced dead at the scene.

Multiple emergency crews were on scene and the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
