WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – An area man has been charged with committing sex crimes against a child.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says deputies arrested Clint Russell Tuesday at a home in rural Jackson County on two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child under the age of 13.

The WCSO says their investigation into Russell’s behavior began about a month before his arrest after, authorities received a report regarding inappropriate contact Russell had allegedly made with a child.
