CAIRO, Ill. (WJPF) – Illinois State Police are investigating the death of a pedestrian on Interstate 57.

ISP says around 8:50 p.m. Monday a 25-year-old was struck by a tractor trailer near Cairo.

The name of the victim has not been released. Police say their investigation is ongoing.
