Just after 10pm on Sunday December 17th, an earthquake shook part of Southern Illinois.

The 3.2 magnitude earthquake was around 3 miles west northwest of Waltonville and around 12 miles southwest of Mount Vernon. The United States Geological Survey reports it hit around 10:10pm.

There have been no reports of injuries or structure damage.
