MARION, Ill. (WJPF) – A Marion man was taken to the hospital in critical condition after he was hit by a vehicle.

Marion Police say around 8:00 a.m. Thursday, Harold Cloud, 67, stepped into the intersection of East DeYoung and Washington Streets and into the path of a vehicle driven by Dane Clark, 69, also of Marion.

Harold Cloud was later taken to an Indiana hospital. The accident remains under investigation.
