For the first time in the history of the Little Egypt Football Poll, the Murphysboro Red Devils have claimed the top ranking after a dominant 63-0 win over Madison last Friday and locking in to a postseason spot with a 6-0 record.
Harrisburg had the largest jump of the week, climbing 5 spots from #8 to #3 after a last-second touchdown to beat last week’s #1 Carterville 29-28.
Mt. Vernon had the biggest slide of the week after a 36-28 loss to Cahokia, going from #5 to #10.
Centralia rejoined the Top 10 after a convincing 43-20 win over Marion. The Orphans dropped out of the Top 10 after Week 2.
