CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – Police in Carbondale have identified the driver of the gray SUV who hit a pedestrian and then left the scene. Police now need the public’s help locating that driver.

On the night of September 26, DeWone Miller, 37, of Marion, hit a pedestrian in the 400 block of East Walnut Street and then left the scene before police or paramedics arrived.  As of October 3, that person wass still recovering in the hospital.

DeWone Miller drives a gray 2010 Nissan Rouge, Illinois license plate K60 0864. Anyone who knows of his whereabouts should contact the police.
