MARION, Ill. (WJPF) – The tombstone of a 7-year-old Marion boy who was born 100 years ago has been returned to its proper location.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says the grave marker had been in their possession since 2014, when it was found by the new owner of a home in Pittsburg.

Working with the Williamson County Historical Society and the Rose Hill Cemetery, the sheriff’s office returned to the tombstone last week to the grave of Kenneth Russell Quinn, born June 25, 1923. He died April 27, 1931.
