WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – An elderly Williamson County woman who wandered away from her home over the weekend has been found alive.

Janet Borowitz, 81, was found Monday morning the woods not far from her home. She had been missing since Saturday. The Williamson County Sheriff’s office says the thick tree canopy limited the use of rescue aircraft and drones.

Other than being dehydrated, Borowitz is reported to be in good condition.
