CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Southern Illinois women’s golfers Morgan GindlerSecilia Ho, and Kylee Vaughan earned 2022-23 Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar honors, the organization announced. A total of 1,401 women’s collegiate golfers were recognized from 378 programs. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team requires a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50, one of the most stringent in all of college athletics.

“It’s great to see these student athletes achieve this honor,” said Cindy Bodmer, Head Women’s Golf Coach. “They are our future leaders, both on and off the course. We look forward to their continued leadership during our upcoming 2023-24 season.”

 

Gindler, a sophomore majoring in exercise science, earned a 3.74 GPA and competed in 10 tournaments for the Salukis, carding a scoring average of 82.90 through 30 rounds this year.

Ho, a senior majoring in electrical engineering, earned a 3.97 GPA and competed in 12 tournaments for the Salukis, carding a scoring average of 80.22 through 36 rounds this year.

Vaughan, an exercise science major, earned a 3.60 GPA and competed in 11 tournaments for the Salukis, carding a scoring average of 79.42 through 33 rounds this year.
