Friday night, it was announced that Christopher-Zeigler-Royalton Football had a new football coach. Tommy Spillan will head up the Bearcats starting in the 2023 season.

Spillan comes from the Metro East area as an assistant at Collinsville.
Last season, the Bearscats went 2-7 under the direction under first year head coach Grant Gordon – who entered the season just a couple of years removed from quarterbacking the team.
The Bearcats are expected to open the season hosting the Flora Wolves on Friday, August 24.
