The Thrillville Thrillbillies got things started on the right foot Wednesday night.  They beat the Jackson Rockabillys 5-3 in their first ever official game.

Southern Illinois’ new college wood bat team saw John A. Logan’s Jackson McCoy blast a home run in the victory.  Du Quoin native Virgil Smith led the team with a pair of RBI.

The Thrillbillies (1-0) seek their first-ever series sweep Thursday night when playing Jackson (0-1).  First pitch is scheduled for 6:45 at Marion Stadium.
