Freshman slugger Jackie Lis continued to add her name to the record books for SIU Softball on Sunday in a 12-11 win over Murray State. Lis knocked in eight runs in the win marking a new single-game record at SIU.
Four of those RBIs came at a crucial point in the game. In the bottom of the 6th inning, the Salukis trailed 11-7 against the Racers. With bases loaded, Lis stepped to the plate and added to her program-record home run total this season with a Grand Slam to tie the game up.
The Salukis finish the year at Charlotte West Stadium with a 20-3 home record. They are 32-15 on the season and 13-11 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
The Salukis wrap up the season this weekend at Illinois State with games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
