CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — Two people have been arrested in connection to fatal shooting Friday night in Carbondale.
It happened at about 10:50 p.m. in 700 block of South Lewis Lane. The victim has not been identified, pending family notification.
Dewayne Jones, 37, of Carbondale, was charged Saturday with murder, aggravated discharge of a firearm, and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon. Jeffrey Harris, 24, of Carbondale, faces charges of aggravated battery and unlawful use of weapon by a felon. Both men were taken to the Jackson County Jail.

Carbondale Police say they’re now working with the Jackson County State’s Attorney’s Office to determine potential criminal charges.
