CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – Carbondale Police are investigating the theft of a lawnmower.

Carbondale Police say the orange lawnmower had been sitting for sale on the parking lot of a business in the 1700 block of West Main Street.

At about 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Carbondale Police say a man driving a white pickup and pulling a small trailer entered the parking lot, broke a lock keeping the mower secured in place, loaded the mower onto the trailer, and then sped off.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact the Carbondale Police.
