CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – A Carbondale man was arrested on Independence Day for shooting a gun into the air.

Carbondale Police say Joshua Broderick, 33, fired several the shots into the air in the 1100 block of East Grand Avenue. Nobody got hurt and no property damage was reported.

Joshua Broderick was charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm and unlawful use of weapons. He was given a court date and released.
