FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – One person was killed in a crash Sunday in Franklin County.

It happened at about 10:40 a.m. on Route 148, just north of Mayberry Lane.

Police say the driver of a Buick SUV crossed the centerline hitting a Nissan sedan head-on. The driver of the Nissan, a Du Quoin man, was killed. The driver of the Buick was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
