BROOKPORT, Ill. (WJPF) — The Brookport Bridge will temporarily close Thursday.

From about 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., workers will be repairing overhead signage and performing right of way maintenance work on the bridge approaches.

There will be no marked detour. However, motorists should self-detour via the Interstate 24 Ohio River Bridge. No traffic will be allowed through while work is in progress.
