MAKANDA, Ill. (WJPF) — A Georgia man and a child were hurt after a fall Friday at Giant City State Park.

It happened at about 5:45 p.m. on the Stonefort Trail.

The 28-year-old man was carrying the 1-year-old child in a stroller when the man slipped and slid down a steep rock face.

The man received minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital. The child also received minor injuries, but they were taken to a St. Louis hospital for observation.
