SIU senior guard Makenzie Silvey was named to the All-MVC First Team, the Missouri Valley Conference announced on Wednesday.

Silvey ranked in the top-15 of the MVC in points, three-pointers made per game and minutes played. The Edwardsville, Ill. native averaged 14.5 points, 2.8 assists in 33.2 minutes per game. She scored in double figures in 17 of the 21 games in which she played in, which includes three 20-plus point games. She is just two steals shy of becoming the first player in program history to amass at least 1,400 career points/400 rebounds/250 assists/200 three-pointers/150 steals in a career.

It marks the third-straight All-MVC honor for Silvey, and it is the first First Team honor of her career.

SIU faces Indiana State on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. on the first round of the MVC Tournament. The winner faces top-seeded Missouri State on Friday at 11 a.m.
