More than 60 new cases of Covid-19 and four additional deaths were reported in Southern Illinois on Tuesday.
Two deaths were reported in Perry County; the other two were reported in Jackson County and the Franklin/Williamson Bi-County Health Department. Most of the new cases were in Jackson and Williamson counties, with each reporting 20.
The Illinois Department of Public Health announced 1,492 new cases, including 39 additional confirmed deaths. The state exceeded 8,000 deaths earlier this week.
