MARION, Ill. (WJPF) — An area religious group is now raising money to replace two catalytic converters stolen from their buses.

Families for the Advancement of Catholic Education, or FACE, provides transportation for southern Illinois students to Notre Dame Regional Catholic High School in Cape Girardeau.

The group says the theft happened sometime Friday night. Repairs are estimated to cost at least $1,500.
