FRANKLIN COUNTY, IL. (WJPF) — The top prosecutor in Franklin County has been appointed to a judgeship.

State’s Attorney Evan Owens will be an associate judge on the Second Judicial Circuit.

Owens has served as State’s Attorney since 2010.
