CAIRO, IL. (WJPF) – Firefighters were on the scene on an overnight fire in Cairo.

The structure fire at the corner of 34th Street and Elm Street was called in around 2:20 AM Tuesday

It’s believed one building was destroyed, another heavily damaged.

Both buildings were vacant. The Illinois State Fire Marshall has been called in to investigate.
