A Mound City man has been sentenced to six years in prison for violating the conditions of his probation.

Jackson County State’s Attorney Michael Carr said in a news release 49-year-old Dennis E. Jones Sr. was originally placed on 30 months’ probation on charges of aggravated battery and threatening a police officer. A petition to revoke his probation was filed when he did not comply with the terms ordered.
