CARBONDALE, IL. (WJPF) – A special meeting of the SIU Board of Trustees is scheduled for Friday morning on the Carbondale Campus.

It’s expected the board will select an outside firm to conduct a search for a permanent system president. From start to finish, the selection of a president could take up to a year.

The board is also expected to name Interim System President Kevin Dorsey as acting chancellor of the Carbondale campus.
