MURPHYSBORO, IL. (WJPF) – A Carbondale man is facing bank robbery charges after authorities say he held up a First-Mid Illinois Bank in Carbondale.

It happened around 5:00 PM Monday at the at the bank’s Schnuck’s location.

Police say they received a report of a robbery in progress. When they arrived at the scene, they found the suspect. 36-year-old Darrell Hendricks, outside the store with the money in his possession.

Hendricks will have is first appearance in court October 31.
