Gov Bruce Rauner, along with State Sen Dale Fowler and IDNR director Wayne, Rosenthal officially announced the redevelopment of a portion of The Sahara Woods in Saline County Wednesday.

It was a project first revealed by Senator Dale Fowler in an October interview on Newradio WJPF.

At the time Fowler said the parks hopes to have redevelopment complete by the summer of next year.
